Jonnie G, AKA “Tumbleweed”, started his stage experience professionally as a front man/lead singer for rock bands as far back as 1980. For 13 years, he traveled from Havre, Montana to Houston, Texas, and all points in between, becoming a household name, playing many nightclub venues in the Denver, Colorado Springs and Pueblo area. During that time he was a nightclub act, as well as an opening act for National Touring Bands. Tumbleweed’s bands names were Terraplane, Mercedes, G Force and Autobahn.
After moving to LA, he reformed another band called Rough Angel. After the split of that band, he found his way to Phoenix, where he purchased a music venue/nightclub, “The Blooze Bar”, which he successfully owned and operated for 12 years. During that time, he focused on his desire to use his professional stage speaking abilities and talents into becoming a Professional Master of Ceremonies, which he is looking forward to showing you at Hot Rod Rock & Rumble 2018!
He also currently hosts The Rockabilly Reunion in Lake Havasu, AZ, Cave Creek Bike Week at The Hideaway in Cave Creek, AZ, and the AZ Rockabilly Bash, just to mention a few.
