Drag Royale Trophy Build

Every year, rodders heat up PPIR’s 1/8th-mile drag strip to see who gets to take home the title of “Drage Royale.” While everyone wants a win, the Drag Royale trophy itself is something worth racing for.

Crafted with mild steel featuring hardened pushrods and semi-truck synchronizers, this beast had 51 holes drilled into it on the press.

With more than 75 welds and 26 hours of construction time so far, this 30-pound beauty will get another 16 hours of masking and painting before it’s ready to be handed off at this year’s festival.

A huge thank you to Seth Seagle of The Bootleggers Blue Ridge Chapter for the build and Adam Thielbar of the Foothills Chapter, for the paint job.
